Strangeness S = −2 baryon-baryon interactions and femtoscopic correlation functions in covariant chiral effective field theory*

We study the baryon-baryon interactions with strangeness $S = -2$ and corresponding momentum correlation functions in leading order covariant chiral effective field theory. The relevant low energy constants are determined by fitting to latest HAL QCD simulations, taking into account all coupled channels. Extrapolating so-obtained strong physical point considering both quantum statistical effects Coulomb interaction, we calculate $\Lambda\Lambda$ $\Xi^-p$ a spherical Gaussian source compare them recent experimental data. find remarkable agreement between our predictions measurements using radius proton-proton correlations, which demonstrates consistency theory, experiment, lattice simulations. Moreover, predict $\Sigma^+\Sigma^+$, $\Sigma^+\Lambda$, $\Sigma^+\Sigma^-$ functions. further investigate influence of shape size hadron pair on studied show that current data not very sensitive shape. Future measurement predicted will provide non-trivial test only SU(3) flavor symmetry its breaking but also derived

Baryon chiral perturbation theory

We provide an introduction to the power-counting issue in baryon chiral perturbation theory and discuss some recent developments in the manifestly Lorentz-invariant formulation of the one-nucleon sector.
